About Us
The Foundation for TJO Animals raises funds to provide resources and support for critical veterinary care and enrichment for the animals at the Thomas J. O’Connor Animal Control and Adoption Center. The Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization and depends on the generosity of its supporters to achieve its goals.
Founded in 2007, the Foundation continues to grow, now providing funds to cover medical treatment and care for all animals that come into TJO, veterinary clinic staff at TJO, enrichment projects, and improvements for the shelter, among other initiatives.
Recently, the Foundation partnered with the MSPCA and was awarded a grant from the Northwest Connecticut Community Foundation to fund a spay/neuter clinic that will cover TJO animals and extend out into the communities of Springfield, Chicopee, and Holyoke.
The Foundation is working on more initiatives to bring much-needed, animal-related resources into the community we serve.
