The Cub Scout Packs and Boys Scout Troops in Chicopee will hold a Rocket Day on June 25th from 12 pm to 3 pm for local residents. The event, which will be held at Ray Ash Park, is being assembled to give a safe, fun and free community event back to the community that has supported these Scouting Units for more than 75 years. The event will allow children to build, launch and take home their own air rockets. There will be other activities and possibly a climbing rock wall. For those boys in Kindergarten through 5th grade that want to continue the fun, there will be representatives from the local Cub Scout packs that can provide information on their programs. For those boys in 6th grade and older, there will be a model camp site setup with all the local Boy Scout Troops that can provide information on their activities and adventures. For more information, you can find this event on Facebook as the ?Chicopee Rocket Day?. To learn more about the scouting adventure from beascout.org and scouting.org.
