As President and Chief Executive Officer at Health New England, Maura McCaffrey leads the premier provider and locally owned health plan serving this region.  Health New England has its corporate offices located in downtown Springfield and employs more than 340 people.  HNE provides health care coverage for over 225,000 members.
Prior to assuming the role of CEO in April of 2014, Maura served as Chief Operating Officer at HNE with responsibility for the oversight of sales, business development, and operations, calling on her extensive experience in these areas to help Health New England achieve operating goals as well as plan for future expansion across all lines of business.
Ms. McCaffrey joined HNE in 2002. She has served as Director and Vice  President of Pharmacy and Service Operations, with responsibility for Pharmacy, Member Services, Enrollment, Credentialing, and Provider Operation Departments. In 2006, she was appointed Vice President of Marketing, Business Development, and Medicare, where she was responsible for the development of government programs, marketing, and product development. As  Chief Operating Officer, she directed those areas as well as overseeing  commercial sales and service, member services, enrollment, IT, and claims.
