2025 Business Community Briefing on Vietnam Veterans’ Memorial Bridge Replacement

The Vietnam Veterans’ Memorial Bridge, carrying I-391 over Route 116 (Chicopee Street) in the Willimansett neighborhood, will need to be replaced. The proposed new structure will restore the bridge’s intended full capacity with three lanes in each direction.

The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) will be holding this meeting to share information about how a new bridge could look, anticipated construction staging and timing, as well as traffic management plans. MassDOT welcomes business community input on the new bridge design.
